Sustainability

at Casa Paloma, Sayulita, Mexico

We are passionate about minimizing our impact on the environment. Collaborating with ethical organizations, local businesses, and discerning travelers, our goal is to continually work to improve sustainability at Casa Paloma.

Casa Paloma & SUSTAINABILITY

We hope you share our passion for sustainability. Please explore our achievements, commitments, and goals below. Thank you to guests who have helped shape many of the changes we have already made.

No Car = Less Emissions

One of the best and most sustainable features of Casa Paloma is its proximity to town and the beach. No car for a week means less stress and a smaller carbon footprint. Our guests walk to restaurants, shops, and the beach via our beautiful garden pathway.

Reduction of Chemicals

Casa Paloma’s swimming pool is ozone-treated, with a touch of salt, which cleans and disinfects with minimal use of chlorine. Chemicals made for pools, such as chlorine, have a negative impact on the environment and living creatures, including humans.

Filtered Water = Less Plastic

Casa Paloma has a reverse osmosis, whole house, water filtration system. This means you can feel safe washing your vegetables, brushing your teeth, and taking a shower AND you do not need to buy bottled water. Guests can drink purified water out of any tap in the house. Our reverse osmosis system has greatly reduced the amount of disposable bottles used by our guests.

“The location is great because you’re at the edge of town so you can walk to shopping and restaurants, we didn’t need a car or a golf cart.”
