“We had a wonderful stay at Casa Paloma. Our group of 12 (3 families traveling together) had plenty of room to spread out. The house is very unique in that the first and second floors each have their own entrance with no stairs within the home connecting them. Additionally the casita has its own entrance and each bedroom has a key code lock because the home is open air in the main living areas. We all got our share of going up and down stairs that week for sure! But it totally worked great. We loved the pool area and the second floor main living space. It was very hot and humid so we did not use the palapa as much as we had hoped, mostly after dark or early in day to read in hammock. It was just too hot during the day. AC in bedrooms was necessary to escape the heat and humidity. The town was an easy walk down the lighted path- harder coming back up but totally doable! We enjoyed the proximity to the town and not needing a golf cart. Found some favorite spots to eat and all easy to navigate.
“The main beach was very hot- we had to get umbrellas and chairs to be down for any length of time and sadly the incessant flow of people peddling jewelry, fruit, hats, bags, massages – everything under the sun somewhat ruined the vibe for us. I think we all had to say no thank you at least 100 times daily. A golf cart would have been nice to ride down to the north end and escape to the quieter beach where you aren’t hassled to buy things all day.
“Dora kept the house very tidy which was much appreciated, bringing fresh towels as requested and making the beds daily. She also cooked two delicious meals for us while we were there. Ernesto was readily available if needed and always happy to help.”
